In the real world, “urgent” rarely means critical, time-sensitive, or business-threatening. It usually means someone, somewhere, completely forgot to do their job, ignored a deadline, didn’t plan properly, and now they’re tossing the responsibility straight onto your lap like a hot potato. The funniest part? They’ll write “URGENT” in all caps as if shouting the word magically makes the mess look intentional. No context. No explanation. Just urgency.
